September is almost here, which means it is nearly the end of the summer! I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone, although I am looking forward to some cooler weather in Dubai! Next month, I will be flying to…
Athens, Greece – Newark, USA (Multi-Sector trip) **This has now been removed from my roster** 😦
Boston, USA (Layover)**I swapped this for a 48 hour to Birmingham, UK**
Karachi, Pakistan (Turnaround)
Getting my new roster used to be the most exciting day of the month and I couldn’t wait to see what new destinations I would be flying to! Sadly, our rosters are not the same as they used to be but I am just so grateful to still be employed and have a couple of flights on there!
My first flight of the month was a multi-sector trip to Athens, and then onto New Jersey. I have done this trip before and had the most amazing time! Athens is my favourite place for food, and while I was in New Jersey, I took a ‘Doors-Off’ helicopter ride over New York City which was truly breathtaking! I was pretty excited to go back, but unfortunately, having checked my roster this morning, the flight has now been cancelled. I now have 6 days of ‘Reserve’ so we shall see where I end up nearer the time.
Next up is a flight to Boston – I have been to Boston twice already and had a brilliant time on both trips. I have a 55 hour layover there which I would have normally loved, although we are still being advised to stay in the hotel during layovers so I’m not sure how I’m going to occupy myself for that long in my hotel room. Lots of food deliveries, Netflix and pampering I reckon!
At the end of the month, I have a turnaround flight to Karachi in Pakistan. I have done this flight a couple of times before and it is really quick and easy, so not a bad one to end the month on.
As I mentioned earlier, I am so so grateful to be flying, despite having fewer flights than usual. Every flight is a blessing and I appreciate my job more than ever now.
Thanks for reading.
