Christmas Eve was here and I was heading to Paris! Not a bad place to spend Christmas, although, as ungrateful as it sounds, I would have done anything to have been at home in London!
I’ve been to Paris when I was younger but I can barely remember it, so it felt like my first time here. We arrived in the early afternoon and decided to meet downstairs and venture into the city right away. Of course, we went directly to the Eiffel Tower!

We walked across the bridge, stopping for chips along the way, and then went up to the Palais de Chaillot for the beautiful view point of Paris.

We then took the metro from Trocadéro to see the Arc de Triomphe and walk down the famous Champs-Élysées!

Last but not least, we made our way to the Louvre museum just as the sun was setting.

We was then going to get some dinner and head back to the hotel, when we stumbled across the Christmas market. There was amazing food stalls there so we decided to eat in the market and then head back. We had a gorgeous bowl of pasta each which was made in giant Parmesan wheels – delish!

Lastly, as we were waiting for our Uber to pick us up, we stopped off at Sébastien Gaudard for some typically French Macarons!

The next morning it was Christmas day and I couldn’t wait to FaceTime home and see them opening their presents! It was lovely speaking with my family, but it definitely didn’t feel like Christmas day where I was! I ordered some breakfast to my room, and before I knew it, I had to get ready for the flight back to Dubai.

The rest of my Christmas day was spent on the aircraft flying back. The flight was nice and everyone was in a great mood – The customers loved our Christmas hats!
Hopefully next Christmas I’ll get to go home – fingers crossed.

Thanks for reading.
