My final interview was at 9am on Tuesday 24 April 2018. After the assessment day I had got the train back home to London, spent one night there, went to work and then was on a train back up to Manchester that night! I felt drained but was so excited for the interview. As I said in my previous post, I am not very confident in group interview situations, so I was so relieved that the final interview was just one-on-one as I knew I perform much better.
Prior to the interview, I received an email asking me to complete an online psychometric test, which is basically a personality test that looks at how you handle situations.
My very first question was based on my results from the psychometric test. For example, my results showed that I was very organised but I was not very persuasive. The recruiter asked me why I wasn’t persuasive and asked me about a time when I had persuaded someone.
The rest of the interview was very much like any other interview. However, all answers had to be very specific. Luckily I had prepared lots of specific examples beforehand so I was able to answer the questions without any problems. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. It was so hard to tell how I had done. As some points I felt very at ease with the recruiter, and then suddenly it would become very serious again!
I thought I had done ok but I honestly didn’t know as the recruiter gave away nothing! She told me I would hear back within 4-6 weeks.
Back to London I went to patiently await the results….

Thanks for reading.
